Dinkey Lakes

The Boyz hit the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness for a Sierra classic, but not without a warm-up in style: a night of car camping with steaks, campfire, and martinis for the ultimate backcountry pregame. Three cars were a must to haul in the essentials and navigate an epic dirt road. After a night of big eats and laughs, we trekked to Dinkey Lake to claim our campsite—late-season perks meant we had the place all to ourselves. Two days of day hikes, fishing, and a few intense rounds of backcountry bocce made this trip light on the pack miles but heavy on the fun.
