Lost Coast Trail

California’s coast is packed with backpacking gems, but one adventure stands above the rest—the iconic Lost Coast Trail. In May of 2018, Los Boyz hit 25 miles of remote, rugged coastline where bears and sea lions roam free. This time, though, we brought our own wild bunch: the Herbert brothers—Doug, Roger, and Jeff—along with Eric, Snyde, and Steve McGadget (sic). The trail? A sandy, cliffy, ankle-busting challenge. But with perfect tides, great weather, and the usual scotch-fueled campfires, we powered through. Just another fantastic day at the beach with Los Boyz!
